WEEK 12: FIRST PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

During this week, I attended the regular teaching practice and actively participated in various academic and co-curricular activities in the school. I was also assigned discipline duties, where I assisted in maintaining order and supporting the smooth functioning of school activities.

WEEK 11- First Phase Teaching Practice

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 11 (13/10/2025 - 17/10/2025) The eleventh week of teaching practice was a highly engaging and active week as the school was selected to participate in the Sub-District Science Exhibition. As a result, extensive preparations were carried out throughout the week. Students and teachers worked collaboratively in planning, organizing, and refining science projects, models, and exhibits. I actively assisted students during the preparation process by guiding them in arranging materials, improving presentations, and explaining scientific concepts clearly. This phase helped enhance students’ confidence, creativity, and teamwork, while also giving me valuable experience in mentoring learners beyond regular classroom teaching. The Sub-District Science Exhibition was conducted on Thursday and Friday. Students presented their projects enthusiastically and demonstrated strong scientific understanding and communication skills. Observing and supporting this event highlighte...

WEEK 10 First Phase Teaching Practice

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 10 (06/10/2025 - 10/10/2025) The tenth week of teaching practice was marked by several academic and co-curricular activities. During this week, students participated in sports events conducted at G. V. Raja Sports School. The programme encouraged physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students, while also providing exposure to organized inter-school level sports facilities. In the same week, the JRC (Junior Red Cross) examination was conducted in the school. I assisted in examination-related duties and observed the systematic procedures followed during the conduct of the exam. This experience helped me understand the importance of discipline, planning, and responsibility in examination management. Additionally, the school celebrated Arts Day over three days—Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students actively took part in various cultural programmes, showcasing their talents in music, dance, drama, and other art forms. The event promoted creativit...

WEEK 09 - First Phase Teaching Practice

TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 09 (29/09/2025 - 03/10/2025) The ninth week of teaching practice had only two regular working days due to the declaration of Pooja holidays and Gandhi Jayanti. These holidays led to a temporary interruption in the normal academic schedule of the school and reduced the number of instructional days for the week. In order to compensate for the loss of working days and to ensure continuity in teaching and learning, the school arranged regular classes on Saturday following a revised timetable. Both teachers and students attended the Saturday classes actively, and the planned syllabus portions were covered effectively. Despite the limited number of working days, academic activities were managed systematically through proper planning and time adjustment. Overall, Week 9 highlighted the importance of flexibility in school administration and effective time management to maintain the academic flow.
