π "Synergy 2K25": Together we live, together we transform π
The campus of Iqbal Training College, Peringammala, buzzed with energy and purpose from August 18th to August 23rd, 2025, as it hosted the highly successful Community Living Camp, aptly themed “Synergy 2K25.” An essential and enriching component of the B.Ed. curriculum, this six-day residential program was specifically designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical life skills, immersing the future teachers in the realities of community living and cooperative responsibility. The core mission of the camp was profound: to actively inculcate essential values in the student-teachers, focusing on fostering unity, responsibility, effective leadership, and a deep-seated service-mindedness. The week was structured with a diverse and engaging schedule that included hands-on art and craft workshops, daily yoga and meditation sessions for well-being, the practice of community food preparation to teach shared labor, and various session classes and dynamic discussions on contemporary educational issues. The most memorable evening was the campfire, which was a true demonstration of togetherness, featuring vibrant cultural performances that celebrated the collective spirit. Beyond the scheduled events, the camp structure itself provided a crucial learning environment as participants managed their day-to-day responsibilities and learned to work collaboratively, thereby developing essential social and organizational skills while fostering environmental awareness and mutual respect. In summation, “Synergy 2K25” was more than a mandatory requirement; it was a potent platform for holistic development, enabling future educators to internalize the core belief that teaching is an act of community service and preparing them to be responsible and compassionate leaders.
